Nick Armstrong is no stranger to the Ignite Fort Collins stage, but what you may not know is that Nick’s second Ignite Fort Collins talk “I Speak Klingon, Love 101 for Ubergeeks” has now been viewed more than 15,000 times.
When asked about why he enjoys speaking at Ignite, Nick had this to say: ”Speaking at Ignite is far and above the best sort of speaking experience you can have. The slides are timed, you’re only on stage for 5 minutes, and the Ignite Fort Collins audience is about as supportive as you’re going to get. Even if you are absolutely terrified of public speaking, aside from maybe Toastmasters, Ignite is the best environment you can ask for.”

Just for fun, Nick also named off a few of his favorite Ignite talks (we’ve included the videos below):
“I haven’t met an Ignite talk I didn’t like. One of my favorites was Ignite Fort Collins #9, Jen Sajbel taught us all how to stop fearing the pineapple.”
“I also really liked Carson Block’s talk on libraries from IFC #11 – that’s an interesting problem to solve.”
“Eric Rank’s IFC#9 talk was also fantastic – about playing Pokemon as an adult, and why it’s perfectly normal.”
“And an oldie but a goodie – Cohousing, not Cohabitation by Kris Boesch from Ignite Fort Collins #1″
